Dear Delegate,

If you haven’t already been able to attend either of the meetings for delegates to tell you about what is happening in the County, and to give you an opportunity to tell us what ideas you have and what you want to know; then you may be interested in the third and final meeting to be held on Monday 17th January at The Chase Golf Club, Pottal Pool Road, Huntingdon. Tea and coffee will be available.

If you or any representatives from your Club would like to attend this meeting, we would be grateful if you could let us know by replying to annette.deeley@gmail.com before Wednesday 5th January , so that we can let The Chase have final details.

We look forward to seeing you, so that we can share our ideas and information.

5th November 2021

Dear Delegates

Welcome to a new year of Staffordshire Ladies’ County Golf.

We are very keen to tell you what is happening throughout the year, and we are also eager to hear from you too, with any thoughts and ideas you would like to share.

With that in mind, we are proposing to hold three get togethers in the coming months, so that we can have a two-way dialogue with all the representatives who carry the County information back to their Clubs.

The first meeting will take place at South Staffordshire Golf Club, Danescourt Road, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton. WV6 9BQ on Monday 29th November 2021 between 11am and 12.30pm. Tea and coffee will be available, and we hope that yourself or a representative of your Club can attend. If you would also like to bring your Lady Captain and your Ladies’ Secretary, then please do so.

The two other meetings, which have yet to be confirmed, will be held in the North and the East of the County in January and February 2022. We will send an invitation to you as soon as we have finalised the details. Once again, they will run from 11am until 12.30pm.

We would be grateful if you could let us know who will be representing your Club at this meeting, by replying to annette.deeley@gmail.com before Monday 22nd November2021, so that we can let South Staffs have final details.

We really hope that you will be able to make one of the three meetings and look forward to seeing you.

Kind Regards,
Annette Deeley
County President

Match v Warks Sunday 30th May at Leamington GC

After a disappointing loss to Worcestershire to open the 2021 campaign, I am delighted to report that Staffs came storming back to defeat Warwickshire 9 -1 to retain the annual Centenary Cup. Thanks to Sue Spencer for stepping in at the last minute to replace an injured Bev Chattaway, and apologies once again to Jenny Deeley for leaving her jumperless on an unbelievably cold start. After the promise of hot weather, and leaving the tropical climes of Staffordshire in shorts and short sleeves, most of the team promptly changed into thermals on arrival to a completely different weather zone in Warwickshire! Fortunately, though, the promised sun duly shone shortly afterwards, as did the fortunes of Staffordshire. Well done everyone. Onwards and upwards!

SafeGolf

15/03/2021

Dear County Secretary

Subject: Welcome to the SafeGolf Family

As you are no doubt aware, SafeGolf is a partnership of UK golf bodies committed to promoting a safe and positive environment for all those participating, working and volunteering in the sport of golf. Staffordshire Association has achieved the SafeGolf standard and we are therefore writing to you today to congratulate you on your achievement and include a copy of your SafeGolf certificate to display within your offices. Please take a note of the expiry date in the bottom left of the certificate as this has an annual review date and our Club Support officers will assess this standard on an annual basis going forward.

You will be notified, leading up to your renewal date, via email and your Club Support Officer will be in contact to support you to action this. During the year, you should look to continually update records so that relevant training does not expire and all information remains accurate.

Please note your club’s SafeGolf standard may be withdrawn at any time if we are made aware of any changes that are not consistent with the standards of SafeGolf. You may wish to use this opportunity to generate some positive PR around your county and therefore we have emailed an attachment and a press release template to yourself.

We have also included the SafeGolf Golf logo for you to use on your website. Once again congratulations on achieving the SafeGolf standard and please do not hesitate to contact your local Club Support Officer or the Participation & Club Support Team via email clubsupport@englandgolf.org should you have any queries.

Kind regards,

Jeremy Tomlinson Chief Executive
